Dance! Dance! Dance!
Dancing will be the focal point of our wedding and we wish to dance the day and night away - so be prepared to shake that booty!
We would be especially honored if you would join us in traditional Albanian “Valle”.
We will organize a dance class to learn and practice valle together. More information about the class will be shared in a separate facebook messenger group.
For those of you who are not able to attend the class, please check out the following tutorials and dance your butts off at home. HAIDE!
Valle – A Traditional Albanian Wedding Dance
Valle is a traditional group dance from Kosovo and Albania that is often performed at weddings and celebrations. More than just a dance, Valle represents unity, joy, and the coming together of family, friends, and community.
During a Valle, participants usually form a line or circle, moving in rhythm to lively traditional music. The steps are simple and repetitive, making it easy for everyone to join in—no dance experience required! The dance is led by one or two people at the front, with the rest of the group following their movements.
At Albanian weddings, Valle symbolizes the shared happiness of the couple and the support of everyone around them as they begin their new life together. By joining the dance, guests become part of the celebration and the tradition.
We invite you to take part, follow the lead, and enjoy this special moment with us!
